Is My Blog Dead??

Nope ... we were been away in the Caboose; did 3 days of long drives, 4 and a half days of long days of playing at Walt Disney World and three more days of long drives.

Since we got back I've been catching up on stuff (the blog's a long way down the list), so this will just have to do till later.

At my fiddle lesson last week I was learning about reading viola music, which is different than reading violin, it's written in an alto clef or C clef. I came home with a loaner viola in hand and have been learning to play it along with catching up on fiddle practice and my flute music for the band. Poor old banjo and harp have been waiting patiently for me to pay them some attention.

I started working on knitting an afghan while we were on the drive south, it's feathers and fan pattern, very pretty, but a long way from the camera right now.

Back to the list, just thought I'd revive my blog which appeared to be "vital signs absent".

Since Christmas

We've had bright blue skies and cold weather, snow, rain .... I never know what to wear.

We had a great time New Year's Eve. We were up till 3:00 in the morning. Ken and Michael played and sang from about 11:30. What a great time.

Last night our team of five did another gourmet dinner for 45 people. The theme this time was British. The food was great, if I do say so myself. The Roast Baron of Beef was unbelievable. The Trifle was beautiful and the Spotted Dick was outstanding. Another huge success. Next one is already in the works ...theme ... German.

Today, the three members of The Tone Deaf Daredevils will be playing soprano/alto/tenor recorders at a fundraiser for Grandmothers to Grandmothers. Then life settles down .... well as much as it ever does!
